Winter 2010 Meeting
January 19-20, 2010, J.W. Marriott, Washington, DC
in conjunction with 10th National Conference on Science, Policy, and Environment: The New Green Economy
Thank you for joining us at our Winter Meeting on January 20th! The meeting presented a good opportunity to deepen knowledge of federal energy policy and players, while strengthening relationships with colleagues and helping to further shape CEREL's direction. We began January 19th with an evening reception at the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences. Wednesday, January 20th brought presentations by outside speakers and group discussion on new and proposed federal energy programs and initiatives, as well as some in-depth discussion on the current academic energy picture.

Our Winter Meeting directly preceded the 10th National Conference on Science, Policy, and the Environment: The New Green Economy, which on January 21 and 22 brought together forward-thinking leaders to discuss aligning science, education and markets to transform our economy. It included sessions on renewable and traditional energy, moving energy technology from the laboratory to the marketplace, investment, the electrical grid, climate, and more. Many of these sessions were led by CEREL members.
Please see meeting materials below. For additional information about the meeting, or original PowerPoint presentations, contact Heidi Fuchs, CEREL Program Coordinator, at hfuchs@ncseonline.org or 202-530-5810 x222.
